Host Cities 2014 is your chance to meet with an international delegation of current and future host cities as well as the heads of leading sporting bodies and rights holders. This Summit will allow you to give you the practical advice you need to understand during the bidding process. Learn what rights holders are looking for when receiving bids as well as gain the knowledge needed to deliver large scale events that leave a positive social and economic legacy.

The event will examine strategies for creating home-grown events that leave a positive economic and social impact. Through a series of panel debates, case studies, round tables and workshops attendees will learn about every part of the city journey from global experts and those who have been through the process.

Rights holders (sporting federations, major events) will in turn learn about the obstacles facing host cities in the bidding and event delivery process. Suppliers, agencies, consultants and other key stakeholders will gain first- hand knowledge about large events due for bid, nations looking to bid and their requirements.

Host Cities 2014 will look to leave its own educational legacy for the UAE and to assist with national development. With Expo 2020 and other global events being hosted here, there is a growing need for newcomers to enter the broader events industry and for existing professionals to understand industry best practice. Preceding the main event, Host Cities 2014 will hold a workshop day where attendees will learn from global experts. These will be tailored to the needs of attendees of the UAE and numbers will be limited to allow for as much interaction as possible.
